Radhe (Bollywood – 2021)

Cast: Salman Khan, Randeep Hooda, Disha Patani

Director: Prabhu Deva

Radhe is a 2021 hindi language action crime movie of superstar ‘Salman Khan’. The plot of the movie is based on a 2017 Korean film ‘The Outlaws’. Though I can’t say it as I haven’t seen that Korean one. The movie released on the occasion of Eid was one of the awaited movies of Salman Khan.

Coming to the story, Randeep Hooda as Rana is a drug mafia who wanna increase his business all over Mumbai to become the drug kingpin. Radhe in the police force takes up the case in his hands and clean the city.

There is nothing much to tell more about the story as the storyline is quite simple but action packed. Also the film did a great opening collection around the world, which was expected as Salman Khan is a huge name.

The film is full of action or I should say over action, which is too much to handle. The direction and acting is also at its worse. Even the storyline fails to bind the audience to their seats. Actress Disha is there just to expose her short dresses without showing much of acting skills. Even if you are a Salman fan still the movie is a disaster. The only best part of the movie was it’s ending.

Eh eh….. Not the movie ending, but the end of the movie. It was a relief that it ended.. Lol..

Still I am going to rate this movie 3 stars out of 10. One star is for the background music which was quite nice and suits the action seans and star entry. Second for the song ‘Seety Maar’, which reminds me of Allu Arjun. And third is for my brother Randeep Hooda as I am a big fan (also share the same surname and same birth place).

Rating: 3/10

AK vs AK (Bollywood – 2020)

Thriller / Drama / Comedy

Cast: Anil Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap, Yogita Bihani

Director: Vikramaditya Motwane

AK vs AK is a 2020 bollywood thriller drama movie. A different of it’s kind the movie is quite unique and Amazingly directed.

The movie start when Anurag Kashyap and Anil Kapoor had a dispute during a public show. Result led to the boycott of Anurag from the industry done by Anil Kapoor. The frustrating Anurag got a creative idea of revenge and film making, kidnapped Sonam (Anil’s daughter) and ask Anil to find her on camera with certain conditions.

Anurag ask Anil to be live on camera 24/7 until he finds his daughter Sonam, making it a great idea for an amazing film where they have to act on the situation.

What happened next is all the story about and you must watch it. Will Anil find Sonam? Will Anurag gets his revenge successfully? All these questions will make you watch the movie available on Netflix.

Mostly making only successful remakes and low quality of original stories is Bollywood now days. And most of us don’t like to watch hindi cinema. But Ak vs Ak is different and unique. Never seen or expected this from Bollywood, loved this one and the thrill is mesmerizing. Acting and direction makes it a must watch.

Locked In (2021)

Cast: Mena Suvari, Jeff Fahey, Costas Mandylor

Director: Carlos V Gutierrez

Locked In is a 2021 crime drama movie and some might say it as a thriller one. The movie is even a hard search on google as you will be finding another movie by the same name.

So coming to the story, a heist happened in a city and everyone is clueless where the money goes. And then there is Maggie trying to live her life with her daughter, managing things and working at a storage house struggling day by day. She suspects something unusual going on in the storage house and one day find herself locked in with some bad people looking for the heist money inside the storage lockers.

How will she be able to find a way out for self and her daughter or will she get rich after it, is to find out till the movie ends.

First of all there is nothing to thrill in the movie. The film with bad acting and bad direction is not even a heist movie. It is all about the emotional drama a lady has even at the worst of her day.

At one point I even wanted that those bad guys should have killed Maggie and got the money as she is so annoying.

For me the movie is a big NO as I had to shut it down several times to finish watching. This is the second time when I wanted the lead role to die miserably by the villein. The first one was when I saw I Kill Giants (Don’t watch this one too).

The Mitchells vs. The Machines (2021)

Cast: Michael Rianda, Abbi Jacobson, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph

Director: Michael Rainda

The Mitchells vs. The Machines is a 2021 comedy animation adventure movie which you can watch on Netflix. We all love a decent animation movie as a good family time and we even watch them afer we grow up. And during this pandemic when there is nothing much to watch due to the slow releases, we all keep waiting for something new and exciting. So today I am going to tell you about the movie I recently watched on Netflix.

Coming to the story, the film is about a not so perfect and weird family whose members think differently from each other.

Katie Michelle as a daughter has a dream of becoming a great film maker joins a college for that. As she is going away the family think of a last trip together for a week before dropping her to college. But in the mid way they found themselves in between a robotic apocalypse.

Not telling you much, watch the movie to find out how they gonna survive and save the world.

I was so excited for the movie as the ratings are great and IMDB rated it as 8. But all my expectations were wrong. I don’t know why critic’s reviews are so positive but according to me the movie lacks in binding the viewers to their seats.

Even after the great adventure and action in the film you will feel bore and will try to shut it down at least 3 to 4 times. And the worst part is comedy. The jokes and punchlines are lame and you will not feel like laughing during most of it.

The only good part is the emotional aspects, which shows the family bond and internal love. So if you wanna watch it, it’s up to you. And even if you don’t watch, there is nothing much to miss about it.

Sulthan (Tamil – 2021)

Cast: Karthi, Lal, Rashmika Mandanna, Arjai

Director: Bakkiyaraj Kannan

Sulthan is a Indian Tamil language movie released in 2021 with superstar Karthi. Also it was one of the most awaited movies this year in Indian cinema. A lot people loved the trailer and trailer itself was a big hit with millions of views on YouTube.

Karthi with a huge fan following and a mind blowing trailer made it popular even before the release and now the wait it over.

As per the trailer and also the poster everyone knows that it’s going to be a mass movie. And that’s what we love about the South Indian movies with full of action and amazing storyline.

Karthi in and as Sulthan born and raised by rowdies gets in command after his father’s sudden dismissal. Not in favor of violence as his mother he want everyone to change their line of work. But one last fight is still to go as his father made a promise yet to complete before death.

What all situation he confront is the movie all about. The first half of the movie is on a romantic side where you can see Karthi running mad after Rashmika and the second half is full action pack.

The story is totally different and I haven’t seen such yet in any movie or series. Acting and action will amuse you a lot too. And in the film you will also see a different kind of family one can have. But you will find the movie a bit lengthy as I personally found some scenes could have been cut short or with no need to elaborate. Rest it is a mass movie and we all can enjoy it anytime.

Without Remorse

Cast: Michael B Jordan, Jodie Turner Smith, Jamie Bell

Director: Stefano Sollima

Without Remorse is a 2021 action, war movie based on a 1993 novel by Tom Clancy with the same name. The movie is also a spin off of the Jack Ryan movie series.

As any other spy/war action movies you will find Michael Jordan as a badass Navy Seal in it who knows how to get the missions done. The story turn around when after a mission, a attack happen on him and his team as well. Sadly his pregnant wife get killed as he barely survives the situation.

Filled with revenge and seeking justice, he try to find the person responsible for. But as he link up everything he finds out there is more to it and something much bigger is going on in the background.

To know more about the suspense go for this action war movie. Even if you haven’t seen the Jack Ryan series still you can watch it.

The nice thing about enemies is you know where they stand. This is not always true of friends.

— General Sergey Voloshin

Even if you find a few critic not appreciating the movie, it still is quite entertaining. Although there is nothing new in the film but amazing acting and sharp action scens make it a good watch.

You can watch the film on Amazon Prime and I am sure you will also find it quite decent. So yes, if you ask me then you can go for it.

Justice Society: World War II

Cast: Stana Katic, Matt Bomer, Elysia Rotaru, Omid Abtahi

Director: Jeff Wamester

DC animated universe is back with Justice Society of America. As a huge DC fan we all love our superhero movies and if it’s animation then you can’t beat the storyline. In past years we have seen some of the brilliant stories and animated series from DC featuring different characters which people generally don’t see on screen in live action movies or TV series.

As a fan this universe is too vast to talk about and there are a number of things people love about it. The last movie was Justice League Dark: Apocalypse War, which was pretty awesome and the story was mind blowing. All those animated movies with our favorite superheros were remarkable and can be watched again and again.

Let’s talk about the story here which is about flash speeding to the past finding a different timeline. Entering the era of World War II, he found himself in a parallel universe directed by Dr. Fate. Now he need to figure out why he is sent here and what he has to do to go back in his own timeline. To find out the answers watch this movie.

But don’t get your hopes too high with this movie as you may find a lot odd things in the film. As it is based on a new line up of Justice League where the heroes haven’t met each other yet. Also the flash is not that smart in the movie and don’t know anything about speed force which was quite odd.

Also I missed Batman a lot.

If you are a DC fan then refresh your mind, don’t think about the story through comics or past movies or series and only then watch the movie, like it’s a new start for DC Animation. Otherwise the film is great and action packed.

Thunder Force (2021)

Cast: Melissa McCarthy, Octavia Spencer, Jason Bateman

Director: Ben Falcone

Thunder Force is a 2021 superhero action comedy movie. The story is about two childhood best friends turned out to be a superhero duo, of which one actually created the super formula and another just accidentally became the lucky one.

The movie start with random insane people becoming supervillains and start terrorising the world. And these two ladies creat Thunder Force team up to stop them and make world a peaceful place.

The action comedy can surprise you with a few good action scens and the effects are good too but the lousy punch lines and bad dialogue won’t make you laugh that much.

Movie was not so comedy after all. And even being a superhero movie it lacks in a lot things including storyline. As much as the name is interesting, makes you feel like watching this one, the storyline might make you shut it before you watch it.

But the film is not even that bad, specially for children. I am sure kids will love this movie and they at least can enjoy it on the weekend.

Mumbai Saga (Hindi – 2021)

Cast: John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Kajal Aggarwal

Director: Sanjay Gupta

The movie Mumbai Saga is based on some true events happened in Mumbai during the 90s. The story is of Amartya Rao who is living a simple and ordinary life comes to the world of crime when his brother is attacked and now he want to be the king of Mumbai. The movie is a story about him being at the top and then engaging with a police officer after he got a big price on his head.

The movie has a great cast and everyone’s role is pretty much great. And with John Abraham coming up with a great movie everytime form past few years, everybody must be eager to watch it and with Emraan on the other end is a cherry on the cake, as we all love him too. Also the other big cast make the screen time really interesting.

With the hops too high the movie might disappoint you. Even with some great action scenes and fully packed dialogues, you will find something missing out of the story. Even though the movie is based on true events but it lacks the entertainment in it.

I say the movie is just watchable nit that great and we could have expected more out of it.

Joji (Malayalam – 2021)

Joji is a malayalam crime drama movie of 2021, titled on the youngest son of a wealthy family whose head of the table is a strong person likes to keep control over his wealth and family. Joji who is good for nothing is an engineering dropout and wants to settle abroad but his father knows and also treat him as a failure.

The situation turn around with a sudden breakdown of his father which was an unexpected event for the family. But still unable to control things Joji’s greed and ambition drive him to do unexpected things.

As long as greed is stronger then compassion, there will always be suffering.

Rusty Eric

Will Joji be able to fulfill his dreams? Will his plan succeed?

These questions will surely come while watching the movie.

The movie somehow is a mirror to today’s society and it’s hollow relationships, where everyone is running after materialistic things without valuing people around us.

The direction and acting line up this great drama you can watch on Amazon Prime. It is a great watch if you like slow drama movies. But if you like fast pase this is not for you. Movie is a slow one explaining everything in detail but the storyline will keep you attached to your seats.
