Blood Red Sky (Transatlantic 473) is a 2021 German language horror thriller film available to watch on Netflix.

After snakes on the plane now we have vampires on the plane. Yes….. Vamps are flying now, economy or first class thats their choice. Jokes apart let’s come to the story. The film start with a smart boy who is flying with her mother. The kid is young but smart and the mother is a weird one.

As the flight take off a group of terrorists hijacks the plane and eliminates all the air marshals. As the kid tries to run and hide, he got her mother killed by one of the terrorists in attempt of saving him.

But the mother is not dear yet with a horror twist in the movie. The mother is a vampire. Not an evil one but a good and helping kind. The rest of the story we all can guess…

With lots of killing spree and people turning into another vamps is a common thing in this kind of movies. But the only question is who survives and who doesn’t and most important is HOW!!!

If we look at the concept, it sounds interesting but I wish if the movie was the same.

If you closely watch the movie, it is very slow even after the supernatural beings and you will get bore. It was hard for me to watch the film in one go. Also the scenes in the film made me feel like it was a low budget. Although if the direction was better we could have seen a lot better action in this.

All over the film is not so good. It was boring and nothing new was there in this. The film explains the background story as well. But still the screenplay and the storyline failed to capture the audience interest.

If you wanna watch this one it is your personal choice but I won’t be recommending you this one. There was nothing as horror or even a sense of fear also the story was slow and also nothing thrilling in the film as well.

Toofaan (Bollywood – 2021)

Toofaan is a 2021 hindi language sports drama film based on boxing, available to watch on Amazon Prime.

The story is about Aziz Ali (Farhan Akhtar) from being Azzoo bhai to Aziz Ali Boxer. From a thug extortionist to a national level boxer the journey has a lot ups and down.

Aziz recover money from people and is a local thug beating people for his living. Soon introduced to boxing at the local gym catches his eyes and developing his interest in the sport. After getting injured in a match he meets a doctor who motivates him to go forward in boxing field only leaving his past life as a goon behind.

Inspired Aziz joins a coach who saw potential in him and train him for state championship. But there are lot more things to come.

Success is not that easy to come and we all need to do a lot before that. Even Aziz go through a lot to become a national champion and to know all that you have to watch this sport’s drama.

I guess the critic has given quite a low rating to this one but the movie is not that bad. Farhan has done a fabulous job and his performance and body both are outstanding. Yes the film has its loopholes but still not that bad.

The film is more about emotional aspect rather then of sport or on boxing. The focus is on Aziz Ali life more then boxing and I guess this was the issue that critic is not so happy with this one

According to ke the film is a good watch and you can easily go for this.

How I Became A Superhero (French – 2021)

How I Became A Superhero is a French language 2021 action fantasy film which is streaming now on Netflix.

It’s a kind off new age superhero movie where the world has accepted the heroes and it’s not a new thing but this world have superheroes with not so much of powers. The power level in the film is not that great but still enough to excite us all. In between all this going on there is this guy the main character of the film working in police department handling the cases related to superpowers working solo. Soon introduced to a new partner to work with, but not comfortable with the idea.

Working on the case they find out about a product or you can say a synthetic drug which can give superpowers to anyone using it. After a bit research they got to know that this synthetic drugs is made from the blood of people who already had superpowers and is now the main attraction of market specially the young kids.

Our main guy used to work with a superhero team who are retired now, but one always keep helping him and keep giving him inside info to get to the bottom of the case. Now different synthetic drugs with different powers link to the missing people with powers some good some bad is the only way to track down who all are behind this thing.

The movie reminds me of the film Project Power which had the similar concept of using drugs to get powers but that film had much more action then this one. This one is more of drama and story then action but still a decent watch.

The starting is interesting and movie flow is also good but in the middle is a bit slow. The film has loophole in plot but nothing major in that. In simple words you can say it is a small budget superhero movie.

The film is a decent watch overall and the story is nice. Not much new in this one but still feel a bit different. If you have nothing in your watchlist you can easily go for it but if you don’t feel like watching it, there is nothing much to miss out either.

Black Widow (Marvel -2021)

Black Widow is a 2021 action adventure superhero movie of Marvel Cinematic Universe. After the success of ‘The Avengers’, people are waiting to know more about the MCU superheros. And here is Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow with her solo movie. In the film you can also see the Red Guardian and Taskmaster as well.

The story showcase the time period after the MCU Civil War, when Natasha, Cpt. America and a few others are on a flee mode running from the government. At that time Natasha lives alone somewhere in Norway hiding and living a normal life.

The story shows a glimpse of her past as well. One of the Natasha’s sister from the Widows soon realised that they all were being controlled and she now has the antidotes which can free them. She send those antidotes to Natasha who soon after receiving got attacked by Taskmaster. Taskmaster has amazing mimic abilities and can copy any fighting style easily.

After attack Natasha meets her sister and they decide to bring down the red room which held the widow program. That lead them to have a family reunion where they also make a prison break for the Red Guardian.

What happened next is the whole movie and we all know we aren’t going to miss it.

The action scenes of the film are amazing and you will have all those from the start itself. The story is also great and fighting scenes with Taskmaster are amazing.

The movie starts great and the first half is really amazing with everything going in line. But soon after the first half I was a bit disappointed. During the mid the film becomes a bit slow and the most amazing part of the movie start disappointing you which was Taskmaster and I am not the only one who feels like that.

I guess this is not the actual Taskmaster or may be for the plot they must have changed the character of Taskmaster but still even with great action scens and amazing skills, they just ruined the character I guess. The second half could have been much better.

Overall we all know we will be watching this movie as we are not going to miss the MCU film. So just go for it.

Major Grom: Plague Doctor (Russian – 2021)

Major Grom: Plague Doctor is a 2021 Russian action adventure film based on the comic book series of the same name by the Russian publisher Bubble Comics, created by Artyom Gabrelyanov available to watch on Netflix.

The story is about Major Igor Grom who is a detective in Saint Petersburg police department and is a one man show. He likes to work solo and his working style is not liked by much around. Solving crime with his own methods let him in trouble as well but his way of justice is to capture the criminals.

Soon the trial of rich boy who is accused of fatally hitting a girl with his car got released despite the evidence against him, and the brother of the deceased suspects the court of corruption. Razumovsky the founder of a social network also a millionaire and his friend Oleg are also outraged by the court’s decision. Things soon turn around when a masked vigilante naming himself as Doctor Plague comes in picture and start killing other criminals in the name of justice making the rich boy his first kill.

Igor Grom investigate about the case and also he is the only witness soon got removed from the case by FSB officers after which he start taking things in his own hands. But Doctor Plague is yet to be stopped as he is on a killing spree, thinking of cleaning up the city and now is a hero for so many.

The film starts with a bang and the action scens are also great. I never read the comics so I won’t be able to compare it as well but if you are a movie lover like me, you can easily go for this one. The movie starts great and end the same way.

It gets a bit slow in the middle but rest everything is fine. And now I need to add Russian movies as well to my watchlist.

A few critics has scored the movie a bit low but don’t go for that. The film is action packed, the story is good, although nothing much new but still nice watch. Also we all love movies based on comics so just go for it.

The Tomorrow War (Hollywood – 2021)

The Tomorrow Was is an English language, sci-fi action movie released in 2021. Or you can say another alien invasion movie which needs saving earth and humanity. The movie can be watched on Amazon Prime.

About the story part, I guess we all know what it will be and how these kind of movies like. In the movie Chris is a biology teacher who wanna be a scientist but soon to discover an alien invasion 30years in future. Which is about to vipe out humanity and the only hope is to send armies to the future. After they send the armies most of the lives are lost and survival rate is less then 20%.

And now government is choosing people who are about to die to go to the future and fight their war. And soon an emergency message to Chris got him into the situation, without giving him any option to quit.

Being an ex-military person he know the war and proceeds for it. But killing those aliens is not easy as they are fast, mostly bullet proof and shoot spikes from some tenticals makes them a hard kill and as they love to eat humans it’s scary as well.

This is the brief about the story but if you wanna know the rest, then you have to watch this film. Because we all know there is always some catch in this kind of movies.

I found the story fine and the showcase is really great. The aliens in the movie is an upgraded version of ‘The Alien’ or also you can say ‘The Edge of Tomorrow’ movie. Just here the shoot skipes and eat people. Even with a lot of similarities with another such films we do love to watch them for our curiosity and enjoy the action in it.

The film has its own loopholes but still is a decent watch. You won’t be finding anything new in this but stll it is an entertainment. This will not be your favorite movie but I am sure you will not feel bore while watching.

Haseen Dillruba (Bollywood – 2021)

Haseen Dillruba is a 2021 hindi language bollywood crime mystery drama, which recently got released on Netflix. Staring Vikrant Messey who got his fame from Mirzapur and Taapsee both has shown some good chemistry in the film.

Now coming to the story, Taapsee has played a role of an independent, free minded and an outgoing girl who got married to Vikrant who is a simple living man. As it was an arrange marriage Taapsee is not as happy as Vikrant because she has to adjust a lot and due to all that their relationship is falling apart.

Things start getting complicated as Harshvardhan came to stay at their home who is Vikrant’s cousin. Soon Taapsee finds herself falling for Harsh and messed up her marriage.

Just as the complications are about to go messy, a blast changes the life of all three. After which the police find Taapsee as the main suspect in the case for killing her husband with the help of her lover Harsh. And not the police is trying to solve the mystery about what finally happened.

What happened next and what the actual story is…….?? To know all that you need to watch this movie.

The critic and most of the reviews are negative for this movie but the movie is not that bad. The story is great and so is the acting part. Taapsee is looking hot in the film. The movie pase is fine but it is a bit slow at some points but interesting at other. So the pase is mixed.

Although the suspense was a bit predictable but stll was a good one.

All over the movie is not bad and a nice watch. Even if you don’t watch that much of Bollywood you can still go for this one.

Batman: The Long Halloween (Part-1) (Animation – 2021)

DC is back again with Batman: The long Halloween Part 1. It’s an animated movie released in 2021 in English language. And as a DC fan it’s always on the top list to watch such. We all have experienced that in cinematic universe DC is not doing that great but when it comes to the animations, no one can beat the script and stories.

Even this film was a great one. The story is about Batman of course, always in action and the smartest in room. But this one is a big different, or rather I would say more like early stages of Batman.

If you ask me, the film story is more close to the Gotham series and Batman has to learn a lot in this one. The story starts with a few murders happened on holidays. Naming the serial killer as Holiday killer.

When Batman, Harvey and Gordon starts to think that the city is now clean, Gotham has a new surprise for them. Soon after Batman realize that he needs to be a detective as well. Running after this serial killer they got to know that the Joker is on loose again.

The film also features Catwoman along side Batman. And we all know the chaos Joker can make after all he is one of the greatest villain of all time.

The storyline is great and it’s just the beginning. The part 2 is yet to come and I am eagerly waiting for it. The movie also featured some great villains of Gotham City and shows an early era Batman who is still learning.

The movie is a must watch although it’s a bit slow sometimes. But rest everything is great.

Fatherhood (Hollywood – 2021)

Fatherhood is a 2021 English language drama film recently released on Netflix. It’s not only a film but an actual emotion as well. And Kevin also proved that he also can make us cry as well. Making us laugh from so many years with comedy movies and even stand up shows, this was his emotional side which made a lot of us cry and flooding with emotions.

The story of the film is quite simple yet it is inspiring for some, hope for some, a believe for some and for a few, they need to understand the emotion & trust. The story begins with a sudden dismissal of Kevin’s wife just after the birth of their daughter. It’s a hard time for the family and specially for Kevin and the new born. His mother in law ask him to shift to their nearby place so that while he work the family can take care of the new born baby.

We all know raising a kid single handedly is very difficult and so his family but Kevin take a hard decision to raise the little girl by himself.

It is a tough decision for everyone but sometimes these decisions define us, help us grow and to become strong. And rest if the movie shows the struggle of Kevin and also all other fathers in the world who are keep doing something or everything for their kids. What all he go through, how he struggle, how the family react and all the emotional stuff is there in the film. Also a bit if the frustration coming due to exertion.

A beautiful film showing the struggle of balance in life, let it be work or friends or personal life or family. And a small message to the ladies that please have some faith in men.

The film is great and a must watch. Although the story is predictable and simple. It’s just about the bond of a father and daughter.

It’s not a comedy movie and I don’t understand why people are commenting that it was not funny. Yes..may be because it’s not a comedy film. It’s a drama film and you all will be looking at the serious side of Kevin.

Sherni (Bollywood – 2021)

Sherni is a 2021 hindi language drama Film recently released on Amazon Prime staring Vidya Balan. Vidya is from one of the few actresses who has the potential to give a hit movie as a female lead which is quite less seen in India. After movies like Kahani and Dirty picture, we can always think of more from her.

Coming to the story, the film is based on a Tigress. Vidya is a forest officer got her new posting where there is a village between the jungle. The people and domestic animals are getting eaten by a tigress. As Vidya being a forest officer, her work is to take care of both. And as tiger is our nationl animal, it is illegal to kill tigers. Vijay Raaz as supporting actor is a professor and specialist of Moths and also a well wisher of jungle and wild animals.

Soon Vidya’s team finds out that it’s a particular tigress T2, who is killing nearby the village. As a safety of both people and T2 Vidya wants to capture T2, so she can release her in nearby national park. But things get complicated soon as the politics involvement increases due to the coming up elections.

Sharat Saxena is playing a role of a hunter who loves to kill tigers for his own joy and record. And as he is very well politically connected, no one is there to mark a finger on him.

The topic of this movie is very clear to all but we always forget and also dominate as the most intelligent species on earth. Earth belongs to everyone and not only to humans but from past so many centuries we made a lot animals extinct and a lot as endangered species.

Humans have forgotten the humanity and are running after money and resources, thinking it’s our right on earth. But there are few who are still fighting for those poor animals who can’t raise their voice.

Greed is eating us all out slowly and painfully.. Even some of the scientists think humans as a virus on earth destroying everything and sometimes I even think it is true. As the greed of people never going to end until we face the apocalypse. We are eating jungles resources and everything for what..? We are just running faster to our doomsday. And when it will arrive some of us will be laughing at the world. That’s the bitter truth.

The film is drama but was more of like a documentary. And the ending was also just like that. But there is a lot to learn from this one. The film is slow and sometimes boring but still I want you all to watch this one so you can understand that even wild animals have rights to live on earth and we should stop having their lands and lives.
